A Director of a medium sized FMCG business with no in-house legal team approached us seeking a cost effective way to manage their legal risks, including commercial agreements, advertising and labelling approval and dealing with the ACCC. They were accepting agreements presented by the other side, without any legal advice, because they could no longer afford the costs of a large law firm it had traditionally used.

We established a retainer arrangement under which we provided our Virtual General Counsel service. By building a detailed understanding of the client’s business and because we understood the markets in which it operates, we were able to identify and pro-actively manage a variety of legal risks that had not previously been appreciated by the business.
